Montreal Shamrocks travelled to Ottawa on Saturday 20th April to take on the Ottawa Gaels in a triple header. After a long winter it was the first outdoor action for both sides.

The day kicked off at 1pm with the Hurling game. Playing with a strong wind in the first half, Montreal developed a big lead with great performances from Martin Lawless and Ronan Corbett.Ottawa had an uphill battle going into the second half with nothing on the scoreboard.

The large Ottawa panel did manage to claw their way back a bit making the second half a true battle between the Montreal defence and the Ottawa forwards. Montreal's Conor Farrell leading a gallant effort in defence. Powerful for the "Capital Celts" were Fintan Ward and Darren Carr. The lead was just too much and Montreal held on to take home the honours.
Final Score : Montreal 4-8(20pts) v Ottawa 2-0(6pts)
Honorable Mention: Ottawa had a tonne of first timers out.
