Fixture: July 7th - Halifax Hibernians v St. John's Avalon Harps
Newfoundland's St. John's Avalon Harps will be meeting Canada's newest GAA club in Halifax on July 7th for a friendly game of gaelic football and then a hurling match,
to be followed later that night by a fundraising event in one of Halifax's Irish bars.
No entry charge at the gate, but tickets will be sold for a 50 / 50 draw to be held between the 2 matches.
All intending hurlers are expected to wear helmets.
Light pre-match training will begin from 10am, with breaks, and the first match kicking off by 1.30. Hurling beginning by 3pm and everyone off the field by 4pm.
Best of luck to all involved. Its great to see hurling spread to the maritimes.
